Tamiya acrylic paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are excellent for painting with a brush or airbrush. These paints can be applied to styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood and all common plastics. The paint covers well, flows smoothly and can be easily mixed. Before curing the paint can be washed off with water.

When using an airbrush, be sure to use one of the following Tamiya thinners: 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520 and 87077.

To thin and apply with an airbrush, use Tamiya X-20A thinner or Tamiya Lacquer Tinner, which will provide faster drying and a more durable finish.

For a better finish, use Tamiya's acrylic paint drying retarder (87114) to obtain a smoother brushstroke result.
